Brendan is director of the Request Initiative, a community interest company he established which makes Freedom of Information Act requests for charities and NGOs. He is also a freelance investigative reporter and member of the National Union of Journalists.
He has worked in the news rooms of the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail where he also acted as night foreign editor and copy taster. His stint at Associated Newspapers began at the Mail on Sunday in February 2005 during which time he gained a reputation for breaking stories out of the reach of his Sunday rivals against all the odds.
Brendan as a freelance filed for the Observer, the Sunday Telegraph and Sunday Mirror. He began his career in regional journalism in 1999, including education and politics briefs on the Brighton Argus, the Lincolnshire Echo and the Manchester Evening News group.
